How to enable command blocks on your minecraft server

Command blocks are useful for Minecraft servers that use custom maps, minigames, adventure systems, teleportation systems, automated events, and other command-based mechanics.

By default, command blocks may not be enabled on a Minecraft server. When they are disabled, command blocks will not execute commands even if they have been placed in the world.

Players Can Obtain Command Blocks #

If players should not have access to command blocks, check their permissions.

Do not give regular players OP simply to allow access to another command.

A Command Works in Chat but Not in a Command Block #

Some commands behave differently when executed by a command block.

Check the command syntax and make sure the command block has the required activation conditions.

When Should You Enable Command Blocks? #
